ANNOTATION

Ukraine has a unique soil cover, which, unfortunately, has been influenced by intense anthropogenic pressure, and significantly changed and lost its original characteristics. The processes of soil degradation can be resisted by alternative agricultural technologies that significantly reduce the risk of soil degradation: soil protection and resource-saving agriculture; organic farming; «precision farming». It has been established that the demand for organic agricultural products is constantly growing and in some countries already exceeds the supply that is beneficial for Ukraine to increase the export of these products. In Ukraine there is a positive trend towards the organic production development, which is determined by the consumers’ interest of in organic food products and the interest of agricultural producers to switch from traditional to organic production. It has been investigated that for the effective development of the organic production, it is advisable to use stimulation tools. The current state support programs for organic production are mostly focused on reimbursement for certification, while there is no state support in the form of preferential taxation and preferential lending. It has been studied that organic land use is a system of interdependent and interconnected methods of land use, among which the introduction and observance of crop rotation takes the leading place. In particular, crop rotation makes it possible to ensure compliance with the appropriate content of humus and nutrients in soils, since the lack of organic fertilizers in soils is caused by the use of certain crops in crop rotation. It has been established that production of organic products aims to provide consumers with safe and high-quality food products, and also has certain economic, social and environmental advantages: reduction of energy consumption of production; development of rural areas; increasing employment and welfare of the rural population; preservation and improvement of soil fertility; preservation and restoration of biodiversity, etc.
