International experience and prospects for development of ostrich breeding in Ukraine

ANNOTATION
The article offers theoretical understanding of ostrich farming and considers the features of ostrich farms operation in Ukraine at the present stage. The structure of costs for product promotion is described in details. The international experience of ostrich farming in different countries has been studied. The issues of biological features of ostriches, their production value and perspective cultivation in agricultural production of both large poultry enterprises and private farms have been outlined. A comparative characteristic of the nutritional value of different species of animals is supplied. The strengths and weaknesses of competitors are mentioned. Suggestions are given for opportunities to compete in this field. It is established that in the current conditions of the poultry industry development in the direction of expanding the association and increasing the biological value of products in Ukraine, the development of ostrich breeding is relevant. For the minimum means it is possible to use practically waste-free production of products with a high level of profitability. The range of such products use provides their full sales, which will be the raw material for many sectors of the economy. To do this, this article reveals the prospects of ostrich breeding in Ukraine. Accepting methodological problems, this article analyzes revenues and expenses. The work outlines measures on increase of the level of farms’ profitability in Ukraine, which are engaged in ostrich breeding. The article presents the results of business planning of the non-traditional poultry industry, in combination with ostrich breeding, mentions the factors influencing it, and develops prospects in Ukraine. Considerable attention is paid to the activities of large farms in the world, and the use of such experience in Ukraine. It is important to be able to forecast activities, ensuring a high level of profitability, anticipating styles of terms of accumulation of net profit and maintaining a large margin of financial stability. The development of the insurance industry in Ukraine is promising, competitive and modern in agriculture.
