Conceptual fundamentals of sustainable development of agrarian enterprises

ANNOTATION

Thearticleinvestigatesnature and main tendencies of sustainable development of agrarian enterprises and studies components of agrarian enterprises development at a regional level, such as economic, ecological and social. The authors of the work define sustainable development of agrarian enterprises as the development, which is based on a balance and combination of such important constituents, as economic (maintenance of a definite level of profitability), ecological (protection of nature and its capability to self-reproduction), social (maintenance of a definite level of people’s life at present and in the future). An economic constituent of sustainable development characterizes increase of production output due to raise of production efficiency. The carried analysis of the value of gross agricultural product and gross regional product proves growth of the level of economic development. It is argued that, under current conditions, dynamic development of agricultural production considerably depends on investment climate in agrarian sector of the economy. Economic situation of agricultural enterprises of a region is favorable for attraction of investments and demonstrates efficiency of activity and attractiveness both for national and foreign investors. The work defines importance of an ecological component in the system of factors, influencing sustainable development. The research studies a social constituent of sustainable development of agrarian enterprises, which is focused on a person and support for stability of social and cultural systems. The investigation confirms insufficient level of social support. Thus, it is necessary to improve social climate at agrarian enterprises and social infrastructure, to increase the size of labor payment and social guaranties for employees. The authors of the work have carried a SWOT-analysis of agriculture development, which sets primary directions of development of agrarian enterprises for strengthening of competitive positions at the market. It is confirmed that sustainable development of agrarian enterprises is possible under conditions of practical application of personal capabilities of efficient use of productive and resource potential, determination of a strategic program and clear long-term goals of development. Achievement of the goals will contribute to increase of their efficiency and competitive capacity.
